APGA Chairman Anambra  remains suspended

The National Deputy Secretary of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Jerry Obasi yesterday insisted that the suspension of the Anambra Chairman of the party, Nobert Obi remained valid. Recall that Obi was suspended last Friday by 17 out of the 28 members State Working Committee, SWC, of the party, following the recommendations of a disciplinary committee which allegedly indicted him.

Obi and Vice Chairman of Anambra South zone of the party, Titus Anigbogu  claimed the meeting where the suspension was carried out was illegal as only the chairman had the right to convene such meetings.

Speaking to vanguard ,obasi said that  the suspension was carried out in line with constitution of the party, saying majority of members of the SWC of the party voted for the suspension of the Chairman.

On the legality of the meeting, Obasi said the constitution provided that the majority of the SWC had the right to summon a meeting, especially if there was an emergency.

The  Ebonyi State  former Chairman of the party, said the SWC of the party had not communicated the National Working Committee of the party officially of its decisions.

  1. APGA should manage their political differences so they don't send a wrong message to their supporters
